So a lot has happened since I last uploaded anything. I have graduated from college (hooray!), I'm student teaching now to get my teaching certificate, and next semester I'll be back at Disney World for a final hurrah before I try to find a teaching job. No major injuries to report this year (this is new and exciting) aside from a broken heart, and meh I'll get over that. Head's up. I've been gone for a year and my art has not improved like AT ALL. This year has been insanely busy for me, but things are finally calming down and since I'm looking for distractions since my favorite one recently broke up with me, I decided to fall back on some old hobbies I have been greatly missing.

This semester is proving to be quite insane. I'm trying to juggle a tough load of coursework (which includes directing three scenes and a one-act play this semester), a part-time job that is killing my joints, tech work as the sound guy for my University's children's show, a ton of writing, some volunteer work for my church, and some tiny semblance of a social life. And of course I'm making time to draw on top of all of that.

So! Don't be too surprised if uploads are few and far between...

Anyway, I am happy to report that I survived my last semester! Yay, I'm finally(/already?!) a junior. This past semester sort of kicked my butt, but I live to tell the tale! Now I just need to kick it up a notch in the future if I hope to keep my scholarship. That means unfortunately that art will likely slow down when school starts back up in September. I simply must concentrate on my grades and juggling classes with work. I'm bracing myself for a rough couple months.

At this point I'm back in Florida, working once again for the Mouse. I am really enjoying it! Though I'm always stuck in the Boneyard now, I have devised a strategy for maintaining my sanity; a webcomic! Disney World guests are simply the silliest people I've ever interacted with. Just ask any Disney cast member, they'll agree! Something happens to people's brains when they pass the turnstile. So I've decided to collect the random, bizarre, occasionally rude things the guests say and draw them into silly little comic strips. So far it has been great fun~

So, I pretty much disappeared for three months while I was living in Orlando working at Disney World. The program was a blast, but I'm happy to be back in school. While I didn't update this gallery at all, I did spend a lot of time drawing - especially working on developing a non-chibi Disney-influenced style. Working six days a week at Disney World offered the perfect immersion to help and inspire me. So most of the artwork I will be uploading in the next few days will be highly influenced by the Disney style. I hope you all like it! Let me know in the comments what you think.
